EASKEY BRITTON PRESENTS:

Creative Storytelling workshop for women

09.15-13.15, Saturday April 21st at the Model, Sligo

Give expression to who you are – freely and truly without expectations.

Born from a desire to give voice to the hidden parts of who we are and celebrate each others stories.

We will work with a creative and visual process of authentic exploration and expression using mixed-mediums (drawing on my own experiences with working through fear, ideas and creative blocks).

The format is non-digital, but provides tools and processes that could be translated into digital form. In essence, "how to find your story before you even start making it / telling it.”

This workshop provides a safe and trusting space that gives us permission to step out of the box and find strength in our vulnerability. It’s about how we might challenge some of the stories we live on a daily basis that we fail to question.

Book early to avoid disappointment - places are limited.

Please note, this is a women-only workshop.

"I hope you will go out and let stories, that is life, happen to you, and that you will work with these stories... water them with your blood and tears and your laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom.”
― Clarissa Pinkola Estés

FAQs

Who is it for?

Women who want to give expression and voice to their story. No experience in storytelling is necessary. If you feel you have no experience with storytelling, or you are a writer / film-maker / public speaker who feels 'stuck' and interested in a more creative approach or you simply want to develop a self-reflective practice - this is for you.

What can I bring into the event?

Feel free to bring your own notebook, favourite pen/pencil, journal or any images you like for inspiration, but all you really need to bring is yourself with an open mind and open heart! All materials needed will be provided on the day.

What will I take-away from the experience?

  • A process that allows you to deepen your understanding of who you are

  • Experience a deeper sense of self-connection

  • Give meaning and expression to the stories we carry within

  • Learn skills and tools to awaken your intuitive mind, let your imagination flow, be without judgement and celebrate both the shadow and the light.

  • Unblock creativity

  • Build trust in your voice

  • Communicate with courage
